What is How Very?
How Very is a newsletter from Britnee Meiser and Brigid Moser, two long-distance best friends who always have some catching up to do. We talk about the media and pop culture we’re consuming, interview friends and experts about the state of the world, share pictures of our dogs—pretty much whatever is on our mind at the time. We’d love it if you joined us!
Our name, How Very, is an ode to the 1988 film Heathers, an iconic coming-of-age satire starring our mom, Winona Ryder. If you like this movie, you will certainly like our newsletter. If you don’t, well…
Just kidding. You might still like our newsletter, because we’re going to cover a wide range of topics. Our favorite unhinged narrators? Of course. Which Miyazaki character we most identify with? Absolutely. The corners of tiktok we frequent? I’m sure it’ll come up. Embarrassing-but-ultimately-formative anecdotes about the years we lived together in college? It’s inevitable. The best Shrek film? Doubtful, but only because we love them all equally. Except for the third one.
Why Subscribe?
How Very is free to subscribe, and every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox, so you won’t have to worry about missing anything. We send emails every other Wednesday at noon. Some bite-sized bits of pop culture and friendship for your lunch break!
